Rule Synopsis
These are the rule/s that control whether CI Sync jobs create relationships between Lansweeper Assets and Application Service records in ServiceNow.
Rule Details and Default
-
By default, CI Sync does not create Application Service relationships.
Override Options
Context
Customers may consider overriding the default rule if they want CI Sync to create relationships between incoming Lansweeper Assets (that are transformed and persisted as CIs in the CMDB) and Application Service records you have created in their ServiceNow.
Options
-
The rule can be amended so the Application Mapping record set becomes selectable on the Selections Page when creating a CI Sync Job via the Run UI.
-
This rule can be amended to define which attribute, from the Lansweeper Asset, stores the Service Number of the Application Service in ServiceNow. By defining the relevant attribute, CI Sync jobs will then create relationships between Lansweeper Assets (which are transformed and persisted as CIs in the CMDB) and Application Service records you have created in their ServiceNow.
Overriding via Connection Settings
Customers can perform the override using a “Connection Setting” via the CI Sync User Interface (i.e. customers can perform the overrides themselves). Additional information for this is available via the following documentation:

For a general overview of CI Sync Connection Settings please read Understanding the use of CI Sync Connection Settings.
