Rule Synopsis
These are the rule/s that control whether CI Sync synchronizes, and therefore sets, the Model attribute on the Disk child records of the main/parent CI.
Rule Details and Default
-
By default, CI Sync does not sync/set the Model attribute on the Disk related child records of the main/parent CI.
-
Note: This default position is to avoid a proliferation of additional Model values within ServiceNow (i.e. there is a large variety of Disk Models and sync’ing/setting these into ServiceNow may create unnecessary noise).
This rule applies to the Model attribute on each individual CI (i.e. whether CI Sync sets a foreign key reference between the individual CI and the Model Master Data table (i.e. either the cmdb_hardware_product_model or the cmdb_model table) in ServiceNow). Please read the Related Rules for the rules related to the Model Master Data table.

Context
