Rule 18 - Suppress CI Insert for Non-Active Assets for SentinelOne

Rule Synopsis

These are the rule/s that control whether CI Sync inserts a new CI for SentinelOne assets that are in a non-active state.

Rule Details and Default

  • By default, CI Sync creates (inserts) new CIs for all SentinelOne assets, including non-active assets.

Override Options

Context

Customers may consider overriding the default rule if they want CI Sync to not insert new CIs for assets that are Non-Active in SentinelOne. This may be useful if customers have no need for Non-Active SentinelOne assets to exist in their CMDB.

Options

  1. The rule can be amended so that CI Sync does suppress the insertion of (i.e. creation of) CIs in their CMDB for assets that are Non-Active in SentinelOne.

Overriding via Connection Settings

Customers can perform the override using a “Connection Setting” via the CI Sync User Interface (i.e. customers can perform the overrides themselves). Additional information for this is available via the following documentation:

  1. For a general overview of CI Sync Connection Settings please read Understanding the use of CI Sync Connection Settings.

  2. For the specific CI Sync Connection Setting/s related to the rule described on this page please read Insert Suppression for Non-Active Records for SentinelOne
