Rule 7 - Automatic Creation of new Choice Records in ServiceNow for ExtremeCloud IQ On-Prem

Rule Synopsis

These are the rule/s that control whether CI Sync automatic creates/inserts new Choice records (or not) into the ServiceNow Company (sys_choice) table.

Rule Details and Default

  • By default, CI Sync does create/insert new records in the ServiceNow sys_choice table when an incoming ExtremeCloud IQ On-Prem attribute (related to choice values) cannot be matched to an existing record in the table.

  • The table below shows the range of attribute types which may generate new sys_choice values.
