Rule 1 - Microsoft 365 Record Sets for Resources and Related Child Records

Rule Synopsis

These are the rule/s (read queries) that retrieve the list of Microsoft 365 resources and the related Child Records.

The default (OOTB) Primary/Parent Resource Types and their default (OOTB) Secondary/Child Records are shown below.

CI Sync automatically selects one of the Distribution List Owners and persists that user to the Owned_By attribute on the CI that represented the DL

Shared Mailboxes

For the Group objects (CIs) listed above, CI Sync does not create secondary/child records (i.e. does not create child records containing a foreign references to a parent record) within ServiceNow.

Instead, CI Sync creates relationship records between the Groups objects (CIs) listed above and the relevant user records in the sys_user table. These relationship records are designed to represent the following:

  1. To represent the Owners of the the Microsoft 365 Group, Security Group or DL.

  2. To represent the Members of the the Microsoft 365 Group, Security Group or DL.

Not Available - Requires a Custom Data Sync Rule (and therefore a Syncfish Support Plan to modify the default behaviour)
