Rule Synopsis
This rule filters Prism Central instances out of the Prism integration's Hosts data by default. Customers can override it if they want those instances recorded in the CMDB.
Rule Details and Default
-
By default, CI Sync does filter out Prism Central instances from Hosts.
Override Options
Context
The Prism (Nutanix) integration can return Prism Central instances alongside regular hosts in its Hosts data. Prism Central is the management console for Nutanix clusters, not a hypervisor host, so CI Sync filters these records out by default to stop them being created as host CIs in the CMDB. Some customers may still want Prism Central instances recorded in their CMDB, for example to track them as infrastructure CIs. In that case, the rule can be overridden as described below.
Options
The rule can be amended so that CI Sync does not filter out Prism Central instances from Hosts.
Overriding via Connection Settings
Customers can perform the override using a “Connection Setting” via the CI Sync User Interface (i.e. customers can perform the overrides themselves). Additional information for this is available via the following documentation:
