Rule Synopsis

These are the rule/s that automatically determine and create the CI-to-CI relationships (dependencies) for each Meraki Asset/CI Type.

Switch Relationships

  • Device Connected to Switch#1

#1 - This relationship will create relationships between existing CIs in ServiceNow via the MAC Address that is detected by Meraki on switch ports using either LLDP or CDP. This can include both other Meraki devices or pre-existing CI in ServiceNow via either of the following:

  1. Have been synchronized via another CI Sync source connectors

  2. Or, pre-existing in ServiceNow from any other data source (including manual entry or one-time imports).

Context

Customers may be seeking more CI-to-CI relationships (dependencies) than those shown above.

Options

  1. Additional Relationships can be added (if the source system offers additional ones).

Overriding via Connection Settings

Not Available - Requires a Custom Data Sync Rule (and therefore a Syncfish Support Plan to modify the default behaviour)
